Head of Odesa Administration says locals acted legally trying to counteract armed terrorists

The head of Odesa regional state administration Volodymyr Nemyrovskyi says if the police had abidden the oath and executed the orders or regional leadership then there would have been no casualties yesterday in the clashes in Odesa.

The actions of Odesa inhabitants, aimed at counteraction and apprehension of armed terrorists are considered by me to be legal. When speaking about police and their role in today's events, its a separate topic. We will discuss it after the situation in the region normalizes, Volodymyr Nemyrovskyi wrote on his Facebook page.

Later the head of Odesa Administration has added there would have been no casualties in Odesa if "the local law enforcement officers hadn't dealt in their homeland, their conscience and if they had acted in accordance with their oath to the people of Ukraine".
"If police had executed the orders of the regional leadership instead of engaging in diplomacy, everything would have ended differently. But they have thought about their personal comfort, not about the country. Shame on them", – Nemyrovskyi wrote.
