Putin supports "round table" talks in Ukraine

According to the Russian president Vladimir Putin, Kremlin supports the proposal of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel about arranging the dialogue between the current Ukrainian authorities and the representatives of South-East of Ukraine and the "round table" talks.

"I've talked with the Federal Chancellor of Germany and Mrs. Merkel has proposed to organize such dialogue as the "round table" talks. We support such proposal and will provide any assistance to such development of the situation", Putin told after the talks with OSCE Chairman Didier Burkhalter.
The President of Russia supposes that such dialogue should be direct, full-fledged and equal. He has also added the Russian Federation has contributed to the release of the OSCE military observers in Ukraine which may lead to the de-escalation of the situation in the country.
