German Foreign Office advises its citizens to leave southeast Ukraine

The German Federal Foreign Office, for the first time since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, has advised its citizens to leave the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine.
The ministry said this in a statement, a Ukrinform correspondent in Germany reported.
"German citizens, who are now in eastern and southern Ukraine, are recommended to leave these regions," reads the statement.
Earlier, the German Foreign Office only warned citizens against traveling to the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine and Crimea.
"The situation in eastern and southern Ukraine is currently very tense," reads the statement.
