Troopers fight back an attack of Slovyansk armed terrorists, two military dead

As the Defense Ministry informs, after furious fight next to Andriyivka village, near Slovyansk, the situation in the area is under control.

UNN news agency informs about this, referring to the Press Office of the ministry.

“The unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine succeeded in getting out from under the fire and fighting back the attack by terrorists. At the same time, the group of extremists carried out an armed attack, using heavy and small arms and was actively throwing hand grenades,” the message reads.

Two troopers died this night. One was killed by sniper and another from the explosion of grenade. Seven troopers received wounds of varying degrees of severity. All of them refuse to be hospitalized and request their commanders to leave them in the ranks and give them the possibility to participate in anti-terror operation.

“Wounded troopers were provided with medical care, the final decision on their stay in the ranks of the units depends on the medics,” the message reads.
