Servicemen for whom terrorists demanded 300 machine guns released


The servicemen captured by terrorists in Dobropillia district, Donetsk region, have been released from captivity, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has reported.
"As a result of lengthy negotiations involving the chief of the Donetsk military garrison, Colonel Serhiy Kamesha, today, on May 7, three servicemen were released from captivity at night," reads the report.
As reported, on May 6, armed militants of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic broke into the building of the Dobropillia military registration and enlistment office and captured three servicemen, including two senior officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They held the hostages in the building of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and demanded 300 machine guns for their release.
