ALMOST A HALF OF UKRAINIANS ARE READY TO PROTECT THE COUNTRY WITH ARMS, SURVEY

Ukraine has to act tough with separatists, say 35% of respondents, surveyed by the sociological group “Rating”. 40% of respondents supports the talks with partial fulfillment of the claims.

15% claim the local inhabitants have to decide their own destiny. More than half of respondents are convinced that the Ukrainians have to fight to protect the state borders. Almost 45% are ready to take up arms to defend the country. Although the same number of respondents is not ready for this.

About 60% of respondents suppose Kremlin to have their finger in the protests in Eastern Ukraine. About 40% of respondents also say the close circle of former President Viktor Yanukovych is concerned with the events.
