Not pro-Russian but Russian forces are acting in Eastern Ukraine, Head of UK Foreign Office

Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom William Hague supposes the Russian saboteurs are acting in Eastern Ukraine.

He told this today in Kyiv during his press conference.

I'd like to say some words about those people who seize the building and build up the checkpoints on the roads. It is obvious that their leaders, their training, their equipment and armament, their behavior in Crimea show those aren't pro-Russian forces but, in fact, Russian ones,

According to the British diplomat, the majority of those people, who seize the buildings, are "hired criminals". They are not the local inhabitants. "There is no doubt that the Russian government wants to create a provocation and conflict in southern and eastern Ukraine in order to disrupt the elections on May 25", he stressed.
