EU is ready to impose economic sanctions on RF: President of the European Council

According to Herman Van Rompuy, head of the European Council, the European Union is ready to introduce economic sanctions on Russia.

This was reported by UNN news agency, referring to the foreign mass media.

“We are ready to make such decision, if necessary,” Van Rompuy stated.

Politician resumed, sanctions will be imposed, if Russia does not resort to conflict de-escalation in Ukraine.

At the same time, according to his statements, the European Union is ready for a new meeting in the format of EU-US-Ukraine-RF.
