Mariupol is surrounded by Ukrainian troops, 16 separatists are already apprehended



The Ukrainian law enforcement officers have apprehended 16 separatists today in Mariupol during the anti-terrorist operation. The city is surrounded by the Ukrainian troops.

According to the acting head of the presidential administration Serhiy Pashynskyi, the situation in the city is calm.
"The city hall is retaken in Mariupol by police. As for now the situation in Mariupol is quite calm. 16 people were apprehended", Pashynskyi told.
He has added the pre-trial check will be conducted in Mariupol individually to every apprehended.
"If they weren't armed and committed no crimes then, I suppose, the soft interim measure will be chosen", the acting head of presidential administration told.
