The acting President of Ukraine, speaker of Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Turchynov signed a decree on mourning in Ukraine in the connection with tragic events on May 2.
“May 2 became for Ukraine a tragic day. I have signed a decree on two-day mourning in Ukraine for heroes, who died during the anti-terror operation, and the dead during tragic events in Odessa,” the decree of Turchynov reads, the Press Office of Verkhovna Rada reports.
Reminder: According to the chief of the Anti-terror center Vasyl Krutov, five Ukrainian military died and twelve were wounded during the anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine.
As it was earlier reported, the victims of unrests in Odessa became over 40 people. The majority of them died during the fire in Trade Unions building.
