Duly Chairman of OSCE, the President and the Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Didier Burkhalter flies to Moscow on May 7 to speak with Russian leadership about the situation in Ukraine.
This was reported by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday.
"OSCE is convinced it is necessary to make efforts on concretizing of Geneva agreements, which envisage the high-level contacts. The meeting with the Russian president Vladimir Putin is an element of this strategy", the statement says, quoted by the Swiss mass media.
As the Kremlin's press service informs, yesterday Vladimir Putin and Angela Merkel "have noticed the importance of effective international action, primarily through the OSCE, aimed at reducing tensions in Ukraine" in their phone talks.
