Germany to initiate second Geneva conference on the situation in Ukraine

 

 

 

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has called to hold the second international conference on the situation in Ukraine.

The German Foreign Minister had the phone conversations with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, the US Secretary of State John Kerry, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the OSCE representatives on Sunday.
The Minister has noticed in his interview for the German TV channel ARD that this meeting should be aimed to draw the clear agreement to defuse a conflict and take the events off into the policy mode.
"Any delay in this situation is irresponsible because it will lead to new victims", the German diplomat said.
