Antiterrorist operation headquarters offers ordinary militants to put on white headbands and surrender
The terrorist group, which seized Sloviansk, must release all hostages, otherwise law enforcers will demand maximum terms of imprisonment for separatist leaders in the court.
This ultimatum was put forward by the Antiterrorist Operation headquarters to terrorist leaders, Adviser to the Interior Minister of Ukraine Anton Herashchenko has said.
"In the case of non-release of hostages, investigation and prosecution authorities will require the court to appoint maximum sentences for leaders of terrorists without regard to any circumstances mitigating the sentence," the press service of the Interior Ministry quoted Herashchenko.
In addition, the Antiterrorist Operation headquarters offers ordinary militants to voluntarily surrender and deliver the illegally seized weapons to the antiterrorist forces. "In the case of voluntary surrender, the ordinary fighters, who have not committed grave and especially grave crimes, are guaranteed security and intercession of investigation and prosecution bodies. A sign for voluntary surrender is a white headband and the arms in the non-combat mode of wearing with the barrel up," Herashchenko said.
According to him, now all the roads leading to Sloviansk are blocked. The town is completely surrounded.
