Anti-terrorist operation not hampering presidential elections - SBU
The anti-terrorist operation, which is underway in eastern Ukraine, cannot be an obstacle to the holding of early presidential elections on May 25.
SBU First Deputy Head and Chief of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center Vasyl Krutov said this at a briefing on Saturday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"The holding of the anti-terrorist operations in no way poses any obstacles to the election campaign and the election of the Ukrainian president," Krutov said.
He said that security forces had already achieved "good results" as part of the operation, practically destroying a major center of terrorists in Sloviansk.
