Ukraine considers blocking of extremist websites - Sumar

 Ukraine studies the issue of blocking some websites, with the help of which terrorists communicate with each other.

Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Viktoria Sumar told a briefing, Ukrinform reports.

“We are studying the issue of blocking, but I believe that blocking of any resources is an extremely dangerous precedent and it is necessary to very seriously weigh the risks,” Sumar said.

At the same time, according to her, Russia does not shun such repressive methods.

“Russia blocked access to 10 Ukrainian websites. For us, obviously, this issue is also very urgent, but we are only in the process of development, since we have never, as the country, blocked the Internet resources, however, it is obvious that communication of terrorists occurs in Russian social networks today,” Sumar noted.
