SBU: Saboteurs planned explosion in Mykolaiv on Victory Day

 The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has unveiled a subversive group that planned to make provocations in Mykolaiv on May 9.
The SBU press office told Ukrinform on Wednesday.
"Criminal activities of a group of individuals has been smashed in Mykolaiv region as they prepared to carry out subversive activities during the Victory Day aimed at escalating the situation in the region," the report reads.
In particular, the saboteurs planned an explosion as part of a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War in the city, the secret service said.
On April 29, as part of the initiated criminal proceedings, investigators conducted searches at several locals who are members of the criminal separatist group.
According to the SBU, the investigators found a computer equipment with the correspondence on the organization of violence in Mykolaiv, cost estimates for the financing of local groups of so-called "self-defense", separatist leaflet sketches. Also, the SBU seized ready leaflets, guidelines on the organization of riots to destabilize the region, detailed checkpoint surveillance maps, lists of pro-Ukrainian activists, a large number of balaclava masks and traumatic and edged weapons.
