Israeli doctors have successfully operated Kharkiv Mayor Hennadii Kernes dorsal spine, reads a statement made by the Kharkiv city council press service referring to Kharkiv deputy mayor for healthcare and social protection of the population Svitlana Horbunova-Ruban. In her words, the operation was long, but this is inherent for surgery of such kind. "Doctors were pleased with its results," the statement said. At the moment Kernes is in stable though grave condition, an artificial respirating unit is maintaining his life. Now he will go through restoration process. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on April 29 night Kernes was transported to Israel to continue treatment An unknown man shot at Kernes and wounded him on April 28.
